The Intra Bank Crisis (1966)

Intra Bank was Lebanon’s largest bank and one of the biggest in the Middle East during the 1960s. Founded in 1951 by Palestinian-born businessman Youssef Beidas, it attracted vast deposits from Lebanon and the Arab world, especially from Gulf and Palestinian businesspeople and investors.
